WTB: 89-94 Toyota 2wd pickup

A bit off topic, but keep you're eyes pealed! Looking for something with a decent cab. The bed can be in shambles (Like all of them) and I could care less what motor or even if it has a motor. Looking to spend under $500. I know they are out there, just not usually advertised, usually rotting in someones back yard.

Ok. A friend's father has had one sitting under about 20 years worth of crap as long as i've known him. I'll see if he wants to get rid of it, or if its nothing more then a pile of rust at this point. IIRC it was a 4cyl with a stick.

Perfect, let me know. This is what I expected, there are many just sitting around because they have no real "value" after a certain point...you just can't find them on CL or anything because they don't get advertised.

Ideally it should have a good cab and frame, the rest will be completely redone with other parts.

Lol. My inlaws have had their '91 Toyota 2wd since new I think. It's from Nebraska too. They drive it like twice a year to haul stuff. They last tho. I'll keep my eye out.

Damn, saw 2 on the way to the crusher a month ago. One wasn't to bad from what I could see. I'll keep my eyes peeled up here.

Nope, not enough power. I have my eyes on a 6-oh for the Impala next winter to mod rather than the 5.3, so I'm working on a home for the 5.3.

I started building a 2wd Nissan with a chop top and A 5.0 years ago and had to unload it before I could finish due to lack of storage and money. Just looking to build something different under 2500 lbs, so figured I'd try to relive the mini truck craze, but wanna go Toyota rather than Nissan, because the Nissan has a big body line down the side and I won't be using the stock bed.

I figure a 2500 lbs truck, a 300hp 5.3, and a chopped off top will be a LOT of fun.

This would be a long term project, start this year with the inexpensive welding and fab work and maybe finish the fallowing winter if time/money allows

Sorry Doug, No go on my lead. His father wants to save it and "drop a 350 in it" but the frame has more holes than Osama's head.
