Cylinder 5 misfire Empty
PostSubject: Cylinder 5 misfire   Cylinder 5 misfire EmptyThu Apr 21, 2011 4:39 pm

Found out today cylinder 5 is misfiring. For those of you familiar with the GM Tech 2 I was in misfire graphic and all cylinders are good except 5...tomorrow plan on swapping wires 5 & 7 on the opti/spark plugs...if that solves it, great, if not, I'll swap injectors on 5 and 7 to see if that does the trick.

I was starting to think it's the opti, but I'd be getting misfires on multiple cylinders...someone correct me if wrong.

Anyone have any other ideas as to what could be causing this? Don't wanna miss anything while I have the car apart (again...) tomorrow.

Another burnt plug wire was the culprit...triple wrapped with heat insulation as well as an OEM spark plug boot shield. Should be ready for drag day.
