That's the plan at least. It's been about 48 hours so far...

Good luck, probably the best decision you'll ever make.

What will you do now after you make the sexy time with a pretty lady?

Good luck, man! It's tough! But great when you stay quit! I find if you can make it through the 3rd day, you should be good. Smile

Thats a great start. Pulling the trigger is 1 of the hardest parts.
NOW....say ef it EVERYDAY.
Dont waste those 48 smoke free HRS, if you pick up a butt, you wasted them.
EVERY hour you get closer.
Take it from me, do whatever you can to stay off them.
It doesnt get any easier. The older you get the more you regret smoking.
Find something you want so when the day comes that you think, I deserve a butt, you'll have something else to do instead.
Good Luck, I'd LOVE to hear you kicked them.

Almost three days now...

The hardest part is walking to work in the morning, and my way home after work.

I'm gonna make it work.... I'll probably start running or biking or something - I know I hate smoking butts after physical exercise.

been tobacco free for 3 1/2 years, you can do it!!!!! i used to smoke Marlboro regulars and i also used copenhagen chewing tobacco,
(sometimes at the same time Suspect pale No affraid ) i was hooooooooked for like 10 years. used the nicorette gum and slowly started replacing pieces with regular gum, i dont even think i used the whole box thats how quick it was over..... biggest tool you have and can use is the DESIRE to quit, if you want to, i mean really really want to you will. i still think about cigarettes when im at work or driving, the triggers will always be there, but the desire to act on them wont. good luck to you elephant Arrow elephant

Haha nothing yet. Still going strong.

I just can't go out and drink with my friends and I'm alright. So now I just sit at home and play video games all weekend....

Good Job Fisha! Been without one for a little over 8 years now. Still think about it though, but it's just a thought. Couldn't afford to smoke now even if I wanted to. No

I'm going to Six Flags this weekend, and doing that 24 Hour race next weekend. Those are going to be really, really, really tough since I'll be outside all day. That's all that really scares me...

Chew lots of gum. Instead of going for a cig, unwrap a stick of gum.

I'm not much of a gum chewer, I prefer to just eat whenever I want to smoke. As a result I've been eating constantly for two weeks. Thank god for metabolism....

I used cinnamon sticks to beat it. Just stuff one in your mouth like a cig and just nibble on the end. Gives you the oral fixation and great smelling breath too. Arrow

Tomorrow is the 6 week mark. I don't really think about Ciggs anymore, but every now and then the thought will creep in.

I definitely feel better, and can breathe like I haven't in years.

It wont get easier later in life, believe me.
It's all up to you & your ability to deny yourself.
Good Luck
