Whats up yall. kinda new here so i figured id drop in. I have a 94 Caprice classic 4.3l DCM and love the beast this is now my 4th Caprice but first bubble.Recently I have done the the car: home base delete, a/c delete, resonator delete, swiss cheese airbox, removed hubcaps painted wheels black added trim trings, polished top of intake and fuel rails, blacked out front grill with hand painted Chevrolet letters, all 4 tie rods and adjusting sleeves, idler arm. hoping to do air pump delete today then time to paint it DCM again. also removed all trim on it as well and resurfaced taillights and blacked out the lines in them.

Cool car, welcome to the madness!

What's your name, man?

We have a race up at New England Dragway on May 21. You should come up and put some faces to the names. We'll probably have a mod day before then, too, so keep an eye on the board! Smile

3/8-16 there are a couple different lenghts and some studs.

Take a look here: http://badass-of-ne.forumotion.com/t600-broken-manifold-bolt-don-t-try-this-at-home

You should also cut the brace on the rear of the passenger side manifold.

i just got the mesurements from rock auto and advanced they say to use m10- 1.50x 62 mm kit is 6 studs and 6 nuts but can i use the same size but a bolt instead of a stud and nut im thinking if popping the manifold using vise grips to remove the stud and re bolt it up.

3/8 = M9.5
MOST use 3/8
Parts list shows
QTY 9 Bolt 3/8-16 x 1-5/8 P/N9441548
QTY 2 Stud (no size listed) POS 1&3 P/N 10242055
QTY 1 Stud (no size listed) P/N 14037662
QTY 8 Spacer (no size listed) P/N 10231254

Most use 3/8-16 x 3/4 with headers (assume 1/4-3/8 flange so 1/2" inside head
Take 1/2" & add to your manifold thickness & go to the hardware store for some GR8
You can also GET threaded stock properly sized or make your own studs.
If the bolts dont strech or shear (being GR8 & all) the studs should be fine.

well i got it off and guess what those 2 bolt i thought were out of the block a bit are in the block a bit but i picked up some new hardware but need to pick up the spacers some of the bolts in there were tiny.... so i had to put back 2 of the old ones and was able to put 2 new ones in at least the 3/8 -16x 13/4 thats the closest i could find so used 2 3/8 fender washers for now with the 2 with spacers so hold the gasket was destroyed were it was leaking so thru a new one on sounds better but gotta wait tilll its really cold all i know is i need help getting the last to bolts out dont have the proper tools to do it wtf.i plan to either find or make spacers the size with the washers should be fun but worth it. also i think i am going to need to pick up a gasket for the collector since gotta unbolt it to completely remove header.

As your looking at the TB from the front
You'll see the metal pipe (that runs down the intake btwn the fuel rail & the valve cover)
It turns to rubber (90 degrees) & goes into the TB
The OTHER side of the TB comes out & loops around to the Overflow tank
Disconnect the rubber from the metal pipe.
Disconnect the rubber hose from the OTHER side of he TB
Connect them together

hmm i think mine was already done but will take some pics nassos book is good but that pic about this sucks there should be more pics. if not done this will stop the coolant from going through the throtle body right. cuz the way i am lookjing at my intale and tb i think someone changed things up a bit but have a good idea now thank you but on the subject of coolant if i remove my a/c condensor will it make my rad run cooler? i just dont want to lose heat again. 5 full flushes to get all the stop leak my idiot father put in. and numerous heater core flushes.

It'll be fine.
Some need to just cut the lines rather then risk breaking the cheap connection points.
