water pump seal Empty
PostSubject: water pump seal    water pump seal EmptyWed Feb 23, 2011 11:05 pm

it seems like part of my oil leak problem is from something at the front of the engine, and it looks sort of like the opti, crank, or water pump drive seals could be leaking. i didnt use the special tool thing to put the water pump seal in, but ive heard that a sharpie cap works kind of the same? i tried using the drive shaft its self but that just mangled the seal so i replaced it again and i think the new(er) one is messed up as well.

the good news is that the temporary hillbilly fix (hose clamps) for the cooler lines is working well. jegs parts will be on the way as money allows. (so probably not any time soon Surprised)

You can use the wp drive as the install tool, as long as it's cleaned up.
