Laugh all you want..

I'm actively looking for another Civic.

Preferably 92-95. Coupe or hatch, would consider a sedan(preferably Ex model)

Would also consider an 87-91 Hatch.

Must be stick shift, miles don't really matter. Looking to spend around 1500.00

All this talk of $5+ a gal. Gas has me nervous. I drive a lot, and my old 92 civic hatch got 38 mpg's.

Keep your eyes peeled if you come across one, thanks! -Paul

I hear ya. I have owned 4 and they were all good to me. You can just about pick the motor up out of them, and swapping is SO easy.

I'll keep my eyes peeled. $1500 should buy a pretty nice 92-95 civic.

Doug

LOL

I might look for an early 90s Toyota mini truck or something like that, I dunno. Something tells me this is more of the old BS tactic of oil companies threatening 5 bucks per gallon so we'll be satisfied with 4-4.50 instead, just like a certain George Orwell book.

I think a 2wd s-10 with an ecotec turbo and a five speed would be fun Cool

LOL, yep. I think those trucks only get like 25 MPG with the 4 cyl anyway. After looking around at what MPG most of these random smaller things get, I think the Caprice will be the better deal all around anyway.
If push comes to shove, I'm going to look for a Geo Prizm because they're just a Corolla without the overhead of the Toyota emblem being on them (a friend has two of them as beaters), or a mid 90s Ford Escort, those cars are wicked reliable and get 35 MPG too, and I can actually fit in them with plenty of room!

I know that, but because the s-10's 2.2L is a dog in my experience, I think if you could swap in a turbo ecotec it could become a fun and cheap to run truck. Plus you could still use it for small tasks that a trunk isn't good enough for.
