Let me help you with that... All you need to do is click the "IMG CODE" link on the photobucket page to copy it and paste it here. You don't have to do anything more than that. My first car that I bought with my own money was an 81 Toyota Tercel 4 door 5 speed. It was baby powder blue with a blue and tan vinyl interior and 52 horsepower. Woot! No pics of mine specifically, but here's a couple googled ones. (hatchback, mine was a 4 door, but that color) Like this: The first car I bought without my father's direction (or approval) was a 78 Camaro, 305 TH350. Blue with z28 spoiler and light blue vinyl. Like this one, without the chin spoiler or hood scoop, and mine had the American Racing chrome steel 5-stars. Staggered, yo. 14" front and 15" rear!

Before the tow truck came 1988 Crown vic police package i got from a private security company a few blocks away. $500

| That crown vic looks pretty nice. I paid $300 of my own money for my first car. I bought it before I even had a license so the day I could legally drive I would have a car already. 1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass | |

| My first car was a 1986 chevy Celebrity wagon. (Not my car, but this one is similar) It served me well, But I crashed it in a snowstorm. Next was a 1986 Ford Tempo sedan. (Again, not mine) It was a turd. I got my 1992 9C1 six months later. Steve | |

| First Car I purchased with my own funds. 1988 Sterling 825 SL A total money pit. But it was a blast to drive. Had it for about a year and a half. 2.5L V6 with 5 speed manual. Leather, Factory tinted windows etc. Got 28mpg and went like stink. When it wanted to. Was unreliable and that's why I got rid of it. Electrical nightmare. Lucas prince of darkness wiring. Bosh Motor control was under the passengers seat. You had to hit the seat to start the car in the end. Total nightmare. Not a picture of mine. It was gray but you get the idea. | |

| I like the fact it's "car you bought with your own $"...these days I see way too many snot-nosed Justin Bieber looking pussies who think they're somebody because of doing gangster leans in cars nicer than anything I've owned that they didn't pay a cent for, forever blinding them to knowing what it's like to make your own money and how be smart with it. Whenever I go through places like Danvers I get totally pissed! I don't really know what my first car was. The first one I drove a lot was my green 74 Impala, but I kind of co-purchased that with my father and we both had our fun with it. Then he wound up not wanting anything to do with it because it was starting to have issues and he just gave me the car. By this time I already had my Suburban. I worked my ass off all summer and then wound up buying this truck, an 88 GMC Suburban Sierra Classic 2500, out of the old WantAds (remember the WantAds?) from an old guy in Beverly for 1600 bucks. He originally wanted 3 grand for it. It was in pretty nice shape for an 80s 'Burban, the original owners bought it new, recorded everything they did, etc. It went back and forth to FL every year towing a camper. He bought it from them to tow a horse trailer. It had 145K, 350TBI, TH400, 14 bolt rear with 4:10s and posi, tow package, just about every option. I thought it was awesome, but no one else really did except for when they wanted me carting them around. One night a couple pieces of shit thought it would be a great idea to smash the column and steal it out of my driveway. It wound up lodged in the front of a house in Malden. Almost 6 years later and still nothing was done about it, and I'm still livid. Insurance paid me minus the deductible, so I sold it for 1000 bucks on CL to a guy in Wakefield who fixed the damage and drove it. I probably could have fixed it myself, and probably should have, but I was so mentally disturbed by the whole thing I kind of wanted it gone. It had a brand new TH400 in it too. Right now it's been on CL off and on again for 900 bucks, lol. I kind of half-want it back, but I don't know where I'd put the truck. I will be sad if it's sold and I lose track of it, not gonna lie. | |

| My first car. My parents purchased for me. I do not know what they paid for it. I killed the clutch in it after a year. 1977 Datsun B-210 5 speed The first one I bought with my own money. Paid $600 for it and a parts car together. Body rusted off, and we stuck the frame under a Maverick 1968 Ford Bronco 3 speed |

| 1949 Chevy Styleline Deluxe Convertible. Paid 275.00 and bought it from a guy in Fall River (my father was with me and drove it home). He let me get it before I was old enough to drive. My older brother taught me how to drive a stick (on the column) on this car. It was in the Brink's movie shot in Boston. Lot's of great memories with this car, and I still have it !! 216 stovebolt six, three speed on column, radio, heater, deluxe trim, wide whites, and also a set of dayton knock-off wires Current status: cyl head off but rebuilt with hardened seats, all new valves and springs (by Reid's in Whitman) ready to be put back on. Might get it running this year or next as a rat-rod. Would like to put on the tri-carb set-up from early vette, and split exhaust for duals. Someday in the not to distant future repaint and restore the int. | |
