PostSubject: Hit by a flying sable   Thu Feb 17, 2011 10:47 pm

So I am at work tonight, and one of my techs tells me a car flew over the snow bank, and hit my car. I said whatever, as he was smiling when he said it. He walked back out, and came back a minute later with my headlight in his hand. I guess he figured I needed a visual aid to believe him. I walk outside to find a lady had come down the road and should have swung right, but instead she went straight and came over the 5 foot snow bank and right into my car.

I am not sure what this will cost to fix. I am not even sure it won't be totaled.

The funny part was that there was a couple who were driving and witnessed the whole thing. They asked the officer if he would need a statement, and me and the officer both said at the same time. "No. Thats ok, It is pretty much self explanatory."
I was happy to find out she was insured.

Whats up with people in NH driving like they're Bo Duke in winter. First the cobalt in the window now the sable in the Buick. At least she didn't land ON TOP of it.

And that's really good shes insured, if she wasn't that would really suck. Hope it isn't totaled I like that car.

dam, it looks like you even parked away from everyone else to avoid such calamity ........

........ shouldn't be totaled, but it looks like $1200 - $1500 range between the parts, 2 colors and having to blend it in.

........... the b- body gods are angry billy, this time its a sable next time it's a super duty hahahahaha..

Damn man, million to one shot that that would happen. Nuts!

It doesn't look that bad, but still sucks that you have to deal with a dented car in the winter when it sucks to work on anything. I hope you make out alright.

Am I the only one laughing my ass off at the look on the kid's face in the Sable? He's lucky the bag didn't deploy because it looks like he wasn't wearing a belt and he's leaning on top of the dashboard.

Always get witness info, even if you dont need it.
Around here, they'd wait until the mess was cleaned up & claim that SOMEHOW it was your fault.

Damn, Billy! You should really park far away from the road with some sort of barrier between you and wayward drivers so stuff like that doesn't happen... Wink

Boo.

That sucks, man.

Hopefully the insurance will cover it with some mod money to spare. Time to talk to Murph! Wink

If she only had more speed, she coulda Dukes of Hazzard it over your car

For the most part, it is fixed. I cut in and installed the fender, and bumper cover and the headlight, I built from two yesterday. I messed with the gaps today. As son as the weather gets better, I will mask and paint it to match.

Looks a lot better than before, the damaged fender looked like it could be considered a lethal weapon lol.

Nice job! Arrow
