I checked this one out last night. Virtually no rust, but it does have some issues.

Hmmm, reminds me of a saying, " if it ain't right, paint it white".

Looks like it's refrigerator white. scratch

Pictures look nice, but it says daily driver, I would imagine its a little crusty but not as bad as my 84 was. Good deal on a two door, if it is clean enough to fetch 2700 though.

Yea, nothing against the guy personally, but what the shit, you go on CL and you see the same ad from 2 days earlier reposted with the old one still active, for the same 3 B-bodies. It gets old quick.

I believe this car was on CL a year or two ago...if so it looked really nice in the high-res pics then. But if it's in fact an '88 it should be a carb engine, not TBI.

Wow, I wonder if that was a car the governor used, or one that served as part of a motorcade?

If not the latter, it's nice to see a governor used something more mainstream unlike Deval Patrick requisitioning a new Cadillac and curtains for his office as soon as he was ushered into office, at the cost of the taxpayers...lol

That car has been on CL and ebay for at least 2 years. Guy is nuts thinking he's going to get almost 30k for it. Big deal it was part of Pataki's motorcade. He didn't even ride in the thing. Still a sweet 9C1. But have fun reposting the ad when it doesn't sell again. Laughing

Also, the Governor must have never gone out much in the winter: never outside and never in rain or snow.

And can someone explain to me how a 9C1 is a rare model? Laughing

I remember that under 200-mile brand new 96 9c1 was for sale at like 15 grand, and the guy paid like 5-6 for the thing after it had been sitting in that shipping container in Brookline...lol

Other than the car not making it home on the day I bought it? Very Happy. Nothing too serious: water pump, one window motor, pitman arm & center link, and the fiberglass patch job on the driver's side rear quarter is coming apart. That's over 5½ months and 13k miles.

LOL man what a good feeling about your new car! That isn't too bad considering the obvious things that can go wrong when buying a used car. My buddy got a ZR2 and the axle broke apart on the highway a week later! Gotta love shady dealers!

It looks like the back window is leaking into the trunk, they all do that, my Impala does (I keep it covered though) and the last Impala did too. The water runs along the underside of the tops of the "fins" or quarter panels and actually rots UPWARD through the metal from the inside out...really weird.

9C1 rare? I don't think so, desirable maybe. Now Impalas with wagon springs, that's rare, they didn't make many of 'em.

That was a great car. I jumped on a 95 POS with ss wheels and other nice things and let this one go a little too fast. I like the color now. Some drop springs and nice wheels and tints would be perfect. But like I said. Its probably in 10x worse shape than in this picture.
