| I personally love the color of that Monte, I don't find it ugly at all, like avocado greens and such. It's metallic too so that helps even more.
I don't care for the dashboard those Montes used though, no matter what color. Looks strange to me. |

| Personally I think that late 90s-mid 2000s GM pewter gray color is worse than this green and more conducive to actual bile in comparison, lol.
This color is more like grass/limes IMHO. Never got a bad comment about my green Impala that was the same color, except from some fat chick who hated cars and drove a Corolla. I guess she hated vegetables.

http://providence.craigslist.org/cto/2275515656.html strange roof treatment
I like the 74 75 76's as 4 doors or convertibles I hate the look of the 2 door ones with the half roof, is yours different because its the sport coupe?
---->
Yep- From 71-73 all the big coupes were hardtops, there were two rooflines, the Caprice coupe and the Custom Coupe on the Impala, which had a concave back window, and roll down quarter windows...and the Sport Coupe, which used a flat back window, a "fastback" roof, and smaller triangular quarter windows in combination with sort of a kink under them on the quarter panel, almost like the quarter window change on 95-96 Caprices. This was only on the Impalas. In 1974, all Caprice coupes became the 2 door sedan like you pictured, with a 1971-73ish back window but that huge B-pillar, and were no longer available as a hardtop. The Impala Custom Coupe had this roofline too, but was still available as a Sport Coupe, which is what I have. This used 1971-73 type (but I think they are slightly different) Caprice/Custom Coupe quarter windows, and a flat back window with a fastback roof that was less extreme than the 71-73 Sport Coupe. This car was also sold for 1975 with different taillight lenses, interior door panels, inst. cluster, and 1974 Caprice nose (what the 75 Impala used), then was discontinued for 1976 for whatever reason with only the 2 door sedans sold. I like the Sport Coupe from these years a hell of a lot better, but would still drive the other kind like you pictured if it were nice...I like the cars in general.. The 74-76 B-O-P cars were even stranger, but a little better looking, they had the large fixed rear quarter windows, a B-pillar that was set back further, and a TINY roll down quarter window that was almost pointless for the rear passengers: http://www.flickr.com/photos/that_chrysler_guy/5078837277/in/photostream/I think these used the same back glass as my car. This car has the fixed windows "deleted" </threadjack> |

| This might be a pretty good deal for someone that's looking for an LT1 wagon, with relatively low mileage 130K for $800 (asking). If it is the key problem as he says, that is any easy fix. http://nh.craigslist.org/bar/2290227221.htmlTom |
