PostSubject: Flip face TV in overhanging dash Roadmaster   Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:12 pm

So the transmission in my van went to crap. I had a 7" flip face TV in there. I needed a cd player in the Roadmaster so I decided to put the tv in there. I ran into a problem. The dash over hangs too much. So, I swapped the climate control with the radio. I had to cut a little bit of plastic behind the dash to get the CC wire harness to reach up top. I wrapped some socks around the climate to hold it center and when I put the dash face on it hold it nice and tight. The radio is also held in by the dash face. Everything is secure and it looks great. I do realize it covers the lights under the CC but I'm not too worried about that.

After

Hey it was some quick engineering lol. I could go back in and use some metal brackets and some screws to hold it down.

LOL, this is just a nasty way to perform such a clean radio install. In the cougar I just jammed the wire harness under the CD player to keep it from bouncing around.
