| WHOA. I missed alot. Some SERIOUS negative vibes in this thread.
Billy, you did SO much to that car. Its worth the 3grand you WERE asking, somebody got a steal for 2g's.
I got fucked out of a wagon down in florida back in march. booked the flight and everything. The Day before the flight, he called me back and said his Wife sold the car without telling him. BS. I was pissed, but its just how things go sometimes..

I wish I could "Like" that post, as if it were on Facebook. lol. I couldn't agree more. I'm IN high school still and this is ridiculous. All I login for is to talk with a bunch of good people to talk about caprices and other misc. cars. I love the insight from some of them and all of this crap the past few months is just not worth the effort. I hope Billy comes back to offer advice whenever we ask. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come, there aren't many forums for these cars, and I like this one.

F you Tim. You act like I owe you something. You called me and asked if I would sell you the car, you had someone coming to buy the camaro. I said there was a couple guys ahead of you, but that whichever one of them came up with the money would get the car. I did not realize a payment had been made. Had I, on the next call where you told me you had the money, and I agreed to sell to you, I would have told you I had a deposit already. (Which I did as soon as I knew). Anyone of you could have made the deposit. That is a given. I am holding now to my word with the first money, which was paid before your first call. You are the one making such a big deal. I told you I was sorry. I don't control your actions. It is not my intention to screw anyone. Ever. |

Lucky for all of us I am leaving the club and b-bodys for good then. Sorry you too feel that way. I guess I go out in a blaze. Not exactly sure why this ended the way it did. But I am glad its all over. I can not beleive everyone got butt hurt over a wagon. It is just a piece of frigging metal. |

| It has nothing to do with the car bill, it was the whole way it went down. It was wrong (apperently not to most here, but i believe it was)
And I have to agree, after this sh!t I'm thinking of dumping the bbodys and going back to f body's.

| I did something very similar to what happened. It was purely unintentional. My daughter had a 94 Black Caprice Classic that she had during college, that was in my family since new. Anyways, she got a job and a new car, so I decided to put it on the big board. This was about 6 years ago.
I placed the ad posting and my phone # on it to call me. Well, the price was right and I got bombarded by phone calls. The first guy bought it, sent money and bought a plane ticket from St. Louis. I was probably relatively new to forums and didn't really use PM's. Later that day I guy called me and said didn't you get my PM? At that point I don't think I had ever got a PM and I never looked. Well I did look and he was the first person.
Now what do I do? There was definitely going to be someone unhappy. I stuck with the guy who paid me the deposit and bought his ticket. He was the first one who called me. Sometimes these things happen in life--unintentionally. You become wiser.

And I have to agree, after this sh!t I'm thinking of dumping the bbodys and going back to f body's. I am truely sorry you feel that way. It was never my intention to screw anyone, or for anyone to feel they got screwed. I made it clear, the first one with the money gets the car. The guys here are good guys, and regardless of how you feel about me, that is where it should stop. With me. In my mind I could have just taken the money. That is the easy way, but I am held off for what I believe to be the right thing to do. If I had taken Tim's or your money, (Which was the easy way out) I would still be the bad guy for the other guy getting screwed after putting a deposit down. I guess I am done here. I don't know what to say on the matter. I have my own issues that I have to address, that have nothing to do with cars. So I am sorry to both Glen and Tim. It was nothing personal or otherwise. |

| SO.....lets take a snapshot here We have a thread thats died & been re-born aaaah... lets say a COUPLE of times. We have a wagon that hit the "teeny bit below the price is right" point. We have multiple members that go "all in". We have the rumored involvement of the "Secret Society. We have technology with time stamps. We have a decision made regarding ownership. AND WHAT BECOMES OF IT? The thread has gone horribly bad. The wagon is now considered friggin metal. We have at contenders, Tim, Glen & Bill M., (all of which have proven to go "above & beyond" for club members), at each others throats. We have the good name of the "Secret Society" being bashed. We have no evidence of wrong-doing. We have a new owner that probably regrets this instead of being thrilled. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!! Hey, hows that Toys for Tots fund coming?

| I'm just repeating others saying I'm saddened to see what happened here, because like Matt posted, I don't want to see this forum get screwed up...I don't think people need to make it a bigger deal than it is. This is a nice fun place with relatively little drama because everyone kind of knows everyone and has met in person, so there's less likelihood to encounter some e-tough who probably looks like Steve Urkel in real life and who will start a flamewar from across the country. I thought it was so cool I joined before I even had a 91-96 car. Everyone just has to calm down and look back objectively on the whole thing and realize it's nothing big. Whenever I miss out on a car or anything else that was for sale I just tell myself it was for the best because the tranny was probably gonna go or something like that. Good deals come and go. | |

| Tim, way to man up. You're made right in my mind again. Glen? WTF? Get over yourself. Lots of guys wanted this car. 3 were serious this time at this price point. And it happened quick. The ONLY way this would shake down at that price was this: two guys were gonna end up pissed, and one would be happy. If you got the car, 2 other guys would be bummed. If Tim got the car, you and the other guy would be bummed. It happens. Get over it. You lost a lot of points in my book man. Your continued comments were unnecessary and intentionally negative. What's the point? You lost out on a car. Big effin deal. You still have a dozen 9c1's. I don't know where all that hate came from, but it's not cool, and it's NOT welcome here. Remember gentlemen, we're all (chosen) family here and there's no room for this level of bullshit in our home. If you don't like it, you're old enough to choose.... So don't leave in a blaze of bullets, just leave. Dig? And Billy, you know you are gonna stick around. We all still love ya. B or D or not. Congrats on the sale. And for the record, there IS no Secret Society. Most of you know it's just a friggin joke. For those who need it spelt out in plain Ingrish, there it is. IT'S A BIG JOKE! HA HA!!!!! Joke on you??? So rest easy. If you haven't been getting your newsletters, it's because there ISN'T ANY. Peace, love, and horsepower... And all that. | |

| I lost points in your book? Hmmm now I'm depressed. :-)
Get over myself? never in your lifetime.
Thanks for your $.02 on my performance. You read through all this and you STILL don't get the reason I was pissed. And I'm not going to explain it again. I've done more and given more sh!t to people in this hobby than probably anyone, I've found cars for people, I've shipped parts FOR FREE to certain people and this is how we treat our own. Bull! I really dont give a flying f who got the car, and I'm sorry Billy had to sell, I probably would have lent him some $ to keep it and pay his bills, but no more.
If this is how the family treats each other, ill be the loser cousin no one wants to talk to. Thanks!
Happy Holidays everyone.

| No, I get it. You think there was a secret agenda. There wasn't. There was a time line. You were on the losing end of it. You refuse to believe you were beat, so you decide to lash out at good guys and say "THEY'RE AGAINST ME!" Boo hoo.
So what's with new trend? Slinging crap, starting controversy and then waving the "I'm a good guy and help everybody and do... blah blah blah..."???????
You're not the only guy on here who helps people out. Plenty do. For free. It's what we do here. But most people don't feel the need to wave their own flag. Some guys just do, and whether it's public or not, it makes them happy to help.

| This little message to everyone: I regret what has happend. I really do. Glen is a stand up guy. Tim is too. I am sorry to the both of you. Everything happend so quickly last night once I dropped the price. All of a sudden people who had not been in the game jumped in full steam. I found myself in place I had never been before with three people in a race to buy a car. I made the best decision I could, and someone was bound to get mad. I did not give that much consideration before dropping the price. I figured I still would not have a buyer much less three. At no point last night was thinking "HEY! How can I screw someone." I made a decision that the first with the money would get the car, and the first with the money did. I sould have been more clear, but like I said, it all happend so fast, then the anger all came into play. So there you have it. I am sorry that it went down the way it did. I should have thought it all through. I had no way of knowing the wagon was such a big deal.
I am now locking this thread down. It is full of negative BS that we as a club do not need.
