PostSubject: 1st Annual Badass TFT Christmas drive.   Sun Nov 21, 2010 6:50 pm

It is my pleasure to announce our first ever Christmas drive for Toys For Tots.

Quoted from the Toys For Tots web site
(The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation enjoys one of the very best program to support ratios within the nonprofit world; 96:4. This means that over 96% of your donation goes to our mission of providing toys, books and other gifts to less fortunate children. The 4% spent on support principally covers fundraising expenses - not one donated dollar goes to pay for salaries or any other manpower costs.)

Our goal is to raise $1000 or more by Sunday 12/19/2010, and we will be keeping track and posting current donation totals within this thread.

Club President Bill Crovo will be collecting everyones donations via paypal till the cut off date. At that point he will make a one time Payment to Toys for Tots on behalf of Badass Of New England.

I encourage everyone to join us in making a donation to Toys For Tots and possibly surpass our goal.

WHERE TO DONATE: bill@uniquekind.net

HOW TO DONATE: Log in to paypal and make a payment as a "gift" to the paypal address above. Also include your name if you like, and in comments write TFT GIFT That way there will be no fees, and 100% of the funds go to the cause.

Just remember. Every little bit helps, so I would ask everyone to do what they can, and help put some toys under the trees of less fortunate children.

Guys, this is the time of the year when money is extra tight.
Its tough to figure how all the bills are going to get paid.
Some of them do, some of them live on until the months ahead.
Everyone has a different situation but we ALL know there's not enough money to go around.
STOP & consider these kids.
They dont know diddley about the economic times, all they know is thier life is tough and they see more then thier share of disappointment.
Think about the goal:
"to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens."
We have plenty of members. Members that can make a difference.
Are any of us more important then a kids hopes? a kid that could use a lift?
Doesnt matter how much, doesnt matter what your reasons were for holding back.
Just take the step needed for someone unable to do so for themselves.
If the Marines (who give us freedom) support this cause, how can you pass it over?
Merry Christmas...to the kids.

Come on folks. Only 4 days left and we are just over half way to our goal.

Thank you to everyone who has donated. But for those who are yet to donate, I would ask you to please do so soon. Sunday is the cutoff point so we can make sure our gift gets to the children in time. Five bucks or fifty it all helps. Just do what you can.

Again. Thank you so very much to everyone.

Thanks to all who donated! Smile

It really rocks that we were able to pull together as a club and raise $600 for the charity! Smile

I requested the check from Paypal tonight and will bring it to the Londonderry TFT headquarters as soon as I get it.

Thanks again to all who helped out! You helped make some unfortunate children's Holidays better! Very Happy

Thank You!

Merry Christmas! rendeer
