| Me and Kayla have been talking and decided it's time to let go of our 1995 Oldsmobile 88. She wants something newer and I was bored of it after 2 years of ownership. I listed it on craigslist last night and it sold this afternoon! Right after I cleaned her up to go to her new owner. The last look I got. Quick walk around video before she went. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX2emBaIppo Now we are on the lookout for a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS S/C or a 2006 Chevrolet Impala LTZ or SS. | |

| She doesn't want to drive the convertable Z in winter??? Don't worry about the door panels, the drivers side on my sisters 88 had the same problem, and at the JY I've never found one even with low miles that has no cracks. | |

| All GM cars built after July 06 as 07 models have a 5 year 100,000 mile factory drivetrain warranty. So even if you look at a 07 with 50,000 on it, it still has about two years, and 50,000 miles left on the warranty. This is very important if you get a SS model. |

| I'll have to keep that in mind Bill but an 07 might be on the pricey side.
I also looked at the inventory at macmulkin and those SS are priced a little higher than Kayla wants to finance. She has her heart set on a Black one as well.

| I like the look of the 1999-2005 impala. The later to current ones look like a fat malibu to me. | |

That sounds awesome Tim. Make sure to get an extended warranty for the drivetrain at least. The tranny in the SS is kinda like 4l60e as far as sitting behind a powerful engine, so protect your investment and get a warranty. |

| Yes Bill, we discussed that and it is a wise investment. They are offering a 3 year 30 something thousand mile warranty with no deductible. It covers everything except wear items of course. I made it clear to the salesman that I will not accept delivery until the car is absolutely spotless and the few issues I pointed out are resolved. cant wait! | |

| Tires are expensive so I probably won't be doing any burnouts. But, I will tell you what 0-60 in 6 seconds feels like. | |

| Sweet ass car. I don't care what others say. I like the new impala and monte carlo for what they are, and add to that a V8 producing 303hp. Phyllis and I test drove a impala ss, and grand prix gxp, and they were quicker, and stopped better than our aging platforms. And with Displacement On Demand, you get great fuel economy. Factory remote start is cool too. |

| You know, I never even thought about getting one of those last gen Monte SS's, most people don't even know you could get the V8 in them!
Congrats! | |

| I was going to get it today use it for the weekend and then bring it back to get the issues taken care of on Monday. I decided I just want it all done when I pick it up. If it is not up to my strict standards I will not accept it. | |

I like them too, the ones from 98-2004? (The first "wimpala") I do not like though. I just think they're ugly cars.
