Happy Turkey Day Empty
PostSubject: Re: Happy Turkey Day    Happy Turkey Day EmptyTue Nov 23, 2010 10:39 pm

I have 3 major events planned...

For Thursday we have "lunch" with Laura's family, then strait to my parents for "dinner", thankfully they are only about a half hour apart...

By far my favorite holiday of this time of year, is one that I created a la Frank Costanza 4 years ago. I call it Ham Wednesday. I have a very close group of friends; we snowmobile, water ski, work on cars, fish, hunt, EVERYTHING together. Basically Ham Wednesday is a "Thanskgiving" for friends, not family. We have ham instead of turkey and then we get lit right up and usually end up doing Karaoke...it is effing awesome. This year with everyone married or coupled up we have about 15 people coming, dinning in the garage, and just having a blast...I can't wait.

Now that I am working for myself and closing the shop at noon tomorrow, I will be making my triumphant debut at cooking a banquet style meal...I am incredibly nervous about it.

I'll be playing at the HS football game (In the Band Razz )

Then headin' to grammas house for turkey, and listening to my uncle talk about the 64 ford falcon galaxie he swears that he owned. I love how he owned one car with model names for a compact and full-size... Rolling Eyes I always tell him it was one or the other, but he insists I'm wrong.

What instrument do you play in the band? And YO!, All you PRE-verts out there, we already know what "instrument" your'e about to say he's playing with! And Bro, Next time your at your uncles house, look in his old foto albums, you only have to see a corner of the car in the picture to know for sure what he had, or see if he can tell you which engine was in it! Before you go there to covertly snoop his archives, go on-line & do a little research on what every angle of both those cars looked like & what options were available. If you do find the inevitable falcon pictured, make a complement on the nice galaxy in the picture so that he is not tempted to say that THAT photo is not of HIS car. Personally I feel the Falcon was an unsafe POS, as was the Mustang which was nothing more than a re-skinned Falcon. I do however like the old FE 427 crossbolt block in a Galaxy 500 XL. Wicked! Anyway, have an excellent thanksgiving!

I know I will be eating some turkey with the family, and waiting for the outcome of the Foxborough-Mansfield football game.

Bass drum, the big one lol. They have too many drummers and i didnt make the cut for snare, even for senior year Crying or Very sad Oh well.

And honestly it didn't require any of that. I went snooping in my grandfathers workshop for tools, Nana let me take home some nifty wire cutters Wink and BAM! In front of my face was a huge chrome Galaxie script. So he had a Galaxie. Not a fairlane, or a falcon, or a galaxiefairlanefalcon XL Rolling Eyes

My family is small and dysfunctional to the nth degree, so we went into Boston and ate at Faneuil Hall. We surprisingly weren't the only ones there, it was pretty busy. Parking was free on the street, pretty funny seeing the rest of Boston so dead.

So he never did figure out just how to mount that die cast script on to his falcon after finding that the securing post holes did not line up! ROTFLMAO! If you find your self being yelled at by your teachers repeatedly for banging out rhythms with your hands and feet at your desk, and you were not even aware that you were doing it, then you're a drummer for life! thats how I new.

You need to get a set of REAL drums! And if you find that the mounted tom-toms don't sound quite right to your ear, you could always use them for your rear brakes.
