| I'm even interested in this car if it's a nice runner! I've always liked those.
Being a diesel originally would explain the low miles if that's actual mileage. I remember seeing another with like 20K that someone did an engine swap on because the original went.
Does it look like an Olds block? I know that when the diesels had problems a lot of people swapped over stuff like Olds 403's and even Caddy engines from what I've heard. I do see that oil filler up on the front... |

| car runs real good, brakes are all there, little spongy peddle, but stops on a dime, trns is smooth, exhaust has a leak around the muffler, but will know more tomorrow when I put it on the lift | Matt Trakker wrote: | I'm even interested in this car if it's a nice runner! I've always liked those.

| So WTF engine is in this thing? I saw the TBI and my jaw dropped, that must be the reason for that adapter plate! This car is odd, in a good way! I'm interested, but I'd have to -Find room for another car -Find money for said car -Find extra work to get extra aforementioned money I have the white Caprice, but I think I want to hold onto that. I've always liked those Olds' 2 doors though. I even like the wheels... I wonder how reliable that thing would be as a DD with the TBI set up and all that? |

| Definatly a Diesel, V8 to. Kinda cool. I just ran the VIN. Didn't come back in Compnine, but the N is diesel. Built in KS.

| Yeah, I tried compnine and nothing.
I wonder why they went with TBI? Was it because diesel is technically fuel injection, and the swap would have been easier? It appears to have an undercar fuel filter? |

| LF9 diesel.
Halfway down the page, it talkes about this diesel.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oldsmobile_V8_engine
Because it was basically the same block, i'm betting the fuel lines and such came damn close for the gas as the diesel.
Love to seen it new. |
