PostSubject: Need input from YOU guys   Need input from YOU guys EmptySun Mar 15, 2009 9:28 pm

OK, here's the deal. Toms9C1 (95) is rotted right under the rear seats and in front of the rear wheels. TRANS. MIGHT GO within the next 2-6 months also. I found a donor rear floorboard from a 94 FW. that I think should fit. I also have the 94 9C1 that I plan to recondition over the next year. Question is should I use the donor for the 94 or use it now for the 95. Discuss. Thanks, Tom

Ok in all seriousness, why would you invest in something that is only going to earn you a few months on the road, when the 94 can get you buy you a few years just like TOMS9C1 did? I know that 94 has a few years left, just gonna need to fix the quarter panel, exhaust leak, cluster, brakes/rotors, and throw in a new trans. Just make sure you keep me away from it, okay?

Does have 3.73s, eaton posi, and a herter tune with probably less than 1000 miles on it though Cool

I would look to restore the car with the least amount of body work. If the 95 is in better over all shape, pull all the good parts from the 94 and use on it. and vise versa. If the 94 is the better car. Transmission swaps are a piece of cake. Replacing floor pans and rear quarters are not.

You could buy a rust free donor car with no drivetrain for the body shell, and place that on the frame with the best drivetrain.

Patchin the 95 (Toms9C1), and when the tranny goes were gonna have a stripper party! We'll do it in the next door neighbors garage. I'm sure he won't mind because he moved out year and a half ago.

Tom, does that FW have heated seats? If it does, can I have the passenger foams?
