my change oil light came on in my 96 ss. my friend showed my a reset button on his 94 caprice on the side of the dash. i went to do it 2 mine and theres no reset button there... is it somewhere else on a 96 ss???

Turn key to "on" position. Pump gas pedal about 20 times. Turn key off and then start the car.. it should be off by then.

I think you only need to pump it 3-5 times, but 20 should do it Wink

thats proboly the weirdest way ive ever heard 2 shut off a light... but ill give it a shot when i go to work in a few..

Key on without start, depress gas pedal three times within five seconds, turn key to offf position, turn back to on and light will come on and then go out.
