So I took some.

When I first got it.

$5 paint job with LS style wheels.



Replaced the top with a near-new one, heated glass and all, frame too!



Tinted the tails with nite shade. 13 bucks at Advance Auto, cleaned with simple green then applied two coats for a decent finish. Still not sure if it's legal.



Replaced the old crappy radio with a newer unit, speakers sound MUCH better now.

Spray your tails with some clear. I cannot stand the dull, rough look of niteshades.

How does the clear look? I think it looks great how it is now, a lot better than the boring OEM. Keep the suggestions coming, I am open to any ideas or fixes!

As far as the A4, that is now just back on the road from popping a head gasket...nothing to talk about there

Looking good. On the tails if you only did a couple coats you are probably ok, I prefer mine to look kind of dark cherry, also keeps them semi legal. THe clear would finish them off nicely.

Looks good! Agree with Doug on the tails...I actually prefer the look of the dark cherry, super black tails are just too much for my tastes. I think as long as the reflectors light up when the lights hit them, should be fine.

I did a set with Testors model paint before,"Dark Plastic Window Tint" it was called...then cleared it. lol

Yeah, I gotta vote for clearing them too. Shiny taillights are FTW!

You inspired me, just finished Niteshading and clearing my Impala tails. I'll get you a couple pics to compare to yours if you like?

Also, I have been on the fence about gloss blacking the wheels, but I don't know if it would look good. The wheels kinda contrast the car, I dunno if I want to change it


Almost forgot, next week I have the 4L60E with the transgo shift kit going in. Talked to Andre about what an optimal stall would be, he decided that 3400 would be good with the 2.73s. Also, going with a 160 t-stat; there is a night and day difference with the engine cold and the engine hot. And a Trifecta tune to finish it off

Anyone have a set of 7.5'' 10 bolt 3.73s for sale?

The only thing that is good with ridges is potato chips.

Yup, there is about 5 coats of clear on there so I have plenty of room to wet sand and buff

I prefer the ridged tails myself, especially when the lights are on... While I like them I don't know what the big freakin' deal is with the 91-92 taillights. That's like taking the slotted taillights out of a 66 GTO and putting LeMans taillights in it.

Some old can of clear I bought at least 3 garages ago...LOL...I think it was some of that paint to match brand of clear coat.

I always enjoyed these z28's. I had a 93 lt1 auto with a 700r4.....pretty fun car right out of the box.

Tail lights look awsome on both cars guys!
