| Can you remove the oil filter on an LT1 without draining and not lose a lot of oil? | |

| Well most of the oil is in the pan, and there's no way for it to get to the filter without it running, so I think you'd maybe only lose what's in the filter and what may drip down out of the oil cooler lines... Why? | |

| The filter holds about a quart of oil so you'll be a quart low when you put the new filter on. | |

Yes you can. i wouldn't recomend it though. The crowbars used to dismount the tire would damage the fender. | |

| Close enough If it went on without binding and isn't leaking then it probably fits. Many of the filter options are based on size/shape/capacity so they're somewhat interchangable. | |

| Remove the filter. Dump oil within it into the new filter. Start er up, shut er down. Check & add. This assumes that the above can be done without bringing dirt & grime into the picture.

| I realized I never commented back... Filter swap was fine, albeit minnimal oil leaked on the converter. | |

| you cant go wrong with the K&N Performance Wrench Off oil filters
they have a 1" nut welded to the bottom of the filter for easy removal | |
