PostSubject: roadmaster door mouldings   Fri May 28, 2010 8:30 am

the last time i went down to marks garage he was so kind to show me my door mouldings were getting loose. this is a problem with these cars. so i spent yesterday taking the two pieces off. p/s rear door and the p/s strip by the trunk already did same on the driver side. some people leave them off. and it looks ok. but i had all the pieces. so i cleaned off all the adhesive pia Mad . went down to napa and got the 3m super strenght moulding tape. part number 03609. what was on the car was 3/8. but i used the 1/2 inch. thats all they had. i know if you dont have the moulding. its hard to find. my passenger front door i had to buy the whole item. chrome piece and moulding.when i first got the car i had gone to a body shop. and they found one in boston. i had them get it and install. and i bought the same thing on e-bay a year ago. well the long piece that goes on the passenger side past the rear door by the trunk. nos. 1/3 the price. Mad so these wont come off for a long time. hopes this help some one. ill have to paint them on the car. word of advice. have some one help you when you put them on. i had my friend help me. i held one end and kept it straight. he removed the tape and we worked together. looks like new. Very Happy
