| I have been having issues on the road with bumps etc. and am starting with blown shocks because they are. While doing this replacement I know to check for springs being properly indexed, possibly front LC bumpstops. My springs are 3 yrs old and probly only 5k in mileage. Here is what the top of each fender measures(on Hotckis springs): LF 26 1/4 LR 26 1/16 RF 26 15/16 RR 26 8/16 Stock height was 28" correct? The only thing else to mention is I only have a spare wheel/tire in the trunk , I have lost almost 70lbs on the car(mods, gutting unused metal, or lighter parts), and do not have a large stereo, just a baffleboard w. 10's. | |

| whats wrong Drew, the car to low or just uneven ? Did you ever have the control arms off if you did did you tighten them at ride hieght ? make sure your right front spring up in the frame is seated right, not sitting on the metal tabs. | |

| Never have had the fronts off when I did the springs. I did torque the rear arms on the ground when I did those. From what I understand shouldn't the rear be higher or much than the front? You can notice also that the left is lower than the right, which I can understand from me(and pervious owner same size) driving and mostly not having passengers. Just got the new Bilsteins today and I might get started tonight if I am up to it-and some of those new fancy rear shock mount hangers | |

| Did you use shocks designed for being lowered? If your shocks are designed for full ride height or god-forbid 9c1 height then they're always staying compressed even when the suspension is fully extended. That can decrease their effectiveness and life span. | |

| He didn't mention which shocks he was running originally. Only that they blew out fairly quickly. That's why I was wondering. The ones your putting in now will be fine though, as stated | |

| The orginal owner did the Sensatracs a month before I had bought my car from him, sifting through my records. I started with the rears last night and have to get the top bolts, I popped the lower nuts and sprayed the top bolts with pB blaster to soak. | |

But what i'm saying is ANY shock is more then likely always compressed to some degree .and Drew those sensatracs are crap when installed.I got a brand new pair that i wouldn't give to my worst enemy. WHO WANTS EM | |

| FYI- Toxic Shock Drop Shocks Your Vehicle... 1995 Chevrolet Impala Sorry no products were found for your 1995 Chevrolet ImpalaIMO Way to many people rave about the Bilsteins to think theyre not a good selection I use the QA1's for the adjustability Both Bilsteins & QA1's can be factory rebuilt MOST (if not all) shock manufacturers put velocity stages into thier valving to compensate for changes in ride height Once Drew has these installed we'll have an un-biased opinion | |

| Like I told Billy. My stitches come out on the 12th so I can't help anyone with anything until after that. You people have no patience On a side note I'd be more than glad to help on a day that we're both free, but I can't even drive right now so it makes things difficult. | |
