| Yea.. Nothing cool at all. 2001 Honda Accord V6. Comes complete with bashed in bumpers held on w/ zipties & tap screws mod. I Bought it from my Dad since the price was too good to pass up, and mechanically the car is perfect, it's reliable, and it's cheap to maintain. Like my new Avatar? Me buying a B-Body seems pretty unlikely at this point - at least in the short term. Unless I can sell the Honda for a nice profit. I do still really want a wagon but buying two cars when I don't have a house or job may not be the smartest idea. I may be forced to sell my Suncoast & Vogtlands. I'm still debating that one. -- On the plus side, here's my paps in the car he bought to replace it:

| It could be worse, it could be a f-body.
I have some drywall screws you could have, they hold much better.

| Thanks Jim. I'll keep you in mind when it comes time to re-repair my bumpers. | |

| Be careful on loose gravel. those v6's have a ton of torque in those situations. | |

| It's true Mckay is first in line then Richie Bobby. I'm just having trouble coming to terms with selling that stuff - cuz it essentially means I won't be buying another B-Body. - onehunglo wrote:

| The car was pissing me off. And I needed to go back to school and put the car in the garage anyway. One day my intake started leaking for like 6th time and that was the last straw.
I worked at a garage at the time, so I pulled it in to a bay and disassembled the entire car in a day. Parted it out for less than 1/10th of what I paid for the car. The plan was to put the good stuff on a new B-Body in the spring after I graduated college. Well, things changed. I bought a Honda.
I had a 94' wagon too. That thing was a complete rusted out death trap so it also got parted out. The rims are on Timmy's car now.

| Gotcha. Hey sometimes you have to drive turds for fuel economy, or when times are tuff till you can find what you really want. Look at me, all the cars I have, & I drive a nasty 91 geo prizm 90% of the time, cuz it's cheap and I don't care about it. I repeatedly bounce that F---er off the rev limiter @ 7,800 rpms. | |

| If I could find a cheap geo metro, I would so rock in that to go to work.

| It's not for the fuel economy. I could give two craps. I got like 13MPG in my LTZ and I gave it super gas.
I'm just finishing up school. I could buy a $3k B-Body, and need a few grand lying around for inevitable repairs. Or I could buy a Honda for $1k that will get me from Point A to Point B just as fast as a stock Impala and not need any repairs for at least a few years. It's not as cool, and it's actually downright embarrassing sometimes. But I know I gotta suck it up now, and save my cash for more important things. If I get the Chi-Town job and a good place to live, then I can consider buying a B-Body for fun.
Besides, my dad would only buy the new BMW if I bought his old Honda. And I really wanted him to get the Beemah.
