So Now My Temp Gauge Broke... You have to be kidding...

So this weekend I went thru the entire car. Fixed all the little issues it had, bulbs, trim things, tailgate, etc. Got everything working great. Took the car to work today, temp gauge sits below the "C" mark it doesn't move. Did I happen to knock something out of place? Bad cluster? Oh the joys of a 17 year old car...

Could be the sending unit. It's in the passenger side head towards the back of the motor. It's got a single wire coming off of it and has a silver metal heat shield around it. I used to wiggle the wire on mine and it would make the guage work again. The wire tends to become a weak spot as heat and vibration over times causes it to wear out.

On a side note when I added more grounds to the car the temp guage and the under hood light both started to work flawlessly everytime.

You do the plugs and wires recently? Almost always knocks that green wire off if you're not careful.

Definately was my first thought also when I saw this thread. Happened to me.

Nope, previous owner did them in 08 at 120k. Car now has 124

@Sdstick. Thanks, I'll take a second look. Id rather not drive up to Pooge's blindly without a temp gauge.
