Anyone going to be around Nashua tomorrow morning?

I plan to work on the Impala for a couple hours Saturday morning and was wondering if anyone wanted to swing by and give me a hand with the exhaust hookup and maybe diagnose it a bit if it's still acting up...?

I got my head bolt in minus the coolant geiser!

Well Bobby swung by and he managed to persuade the exhaust into place. We got it running and it was still popping through the intake. Hot or cold, open or closed loop. It is just off idle and only when you snap open the throttle. We hooked up datamaster and it was pulling a solid degree of timing at idle and occasionally up to 10.5* of timing, AT IDLE! WTF, over? Bad gas? But he had to take off, so I threw the Rallyes on it, and decided to take it for a ride. My plan was to take it to my mechanic so he could figure it out. The drive seemed ok. So I drove it towards Hampstead (where the wrench works) and filled it up with two bottles of fuel injector cleaner and a full tank of fresh 93 octane. By the time I got there, about 22 miles, it was running pretty damn good. I left it there anyways. We'll see what happens from here. I may pick it back up tomorrow when I visit my mom and stepdad for Easter and drive it to work a couple days before I really decide to throw in the towel... We'll see.

And FYI, it still leaves rubber at will in 1st and will spin pretty good into second.

Bad gas does funny stuff sometimes.
