| im sure some of us on here have been affected by the recent flooding. my manager and one of my co-workers both had several feet of water (and sewage) in their basements, and the first day of any real flooding the drive into work was humbling. all the houses along rt 184 in ct were in the middle of a large river where there used to be driveways and grass, and the intersection i go thru to get to work was about 3 feet underwater. the flooding claimed a few of the cars on the lot at work. vaccumed about a gallon of water out of the carpets of a mercury that was going to auction. the most shocking thing ive seen in a while was the warwick mall.... bloody hell...... i consider myself very lucky to live on top of a hill. best of luck to anyone less fortunate.... | |

| I was surprised at all the flooding you guys got down that way. We had it bad up on the North Shore, but it seemed like the 2006 floods were worse. Over the last few weeks we had the water in the basement come up just enough to put out the pilot on the water heater on two different occasions, so I had to let it dry out and relight it. I live in a flood plain and we only had about 4 inches of water down there, it also receded as soon as it filled up!
At the same time, it's been hell driving around here, it seems like half the roads are blocked off because of washouts. | |

| Yeah, flooding was pretty nuts up here, too. Salem and Pelham NH were underwater! | |

| Warwick just rediscovered its mall, as well as I-95. Taunton is still under water last time I checked. Freetown only partially exists right now. | |
