| I want to get a set of 255/50/17 for some SS wheels I have to put on Casper to make it look a little nicer for the spring.
My brother has a set of those Riken Raptors he got from Bennett St. Tire in Lynn down here, wasn't too bad but was still expensive with mount/balance/sales tax.
Does anyone know of a place that sells the Rikens or those "Federal SS596" tires that are supposedly very cheap in southern NH that will mount and balance? I'm trying to weigh my options of ordering tires online vs. getting them from a brick and mortar and having them mounted there so I don't have to be a douche and ask my friends for a favor, OR be uncertain about the tires arriving. I've had good luck with Discount Tire Direct, but even if I ordered a set of Falkens from them it would be like 450 bucks shipped to my house and I'd still have to get them mounted. I just don't want to spend 600 bucks on damn tires!
Hell, I'd even be interested in some used 255/50s if they were nice. I'm thinking of biting the bullet and getting some nicer tires that will last longer too, although the Rikens seem to be pretty damn good for their price range.

| Down this way there's a junkyard that stocks tons of tires for fairly cheap money. You even get to pick them out and inspect them yourself before you buy them. Few weeks back we snagged a full set of Goodyear Weatherhandlers in a hard to find size with about 95% tread left for $200. I know they carry 17's. Even carry 20's and sometimes 22's | |

| Where's that place? I posted a CL ad looking for some used ones as well...one guy emailed me, but he sent me one of those emails where it just has a phone number and nothing else. If someone is too lazy to send a proper email they'll probably be lazy enough to ruin wheels too. I got a used BFG once in Whitman from this dude who advertises incessantly on CL all the time, the place was slightly sketchy but I got good tire mounted and balanced for like 50 bucks so it wasn't all bad. | |

| Everett's auto on Thatcher street in Brockton. Can't get down there for a few days though. The road floods out in heavy storms so it'll be impassable for a couple days after the storm finally stops.

| I've had good luck with Tire Warehouse. I used to go to the one in Haverhill, but the guy I dealt with moved to Maine. My last sets of tires were bought at Town Fair in Nashua. They will price match the tire rack and they usually have some great deals on take offs and used tires. | |

| So as some of you know I got a set of tires from Doug, but I still have to mount them. Anyone recommend a cheap place that would toss them on the car and has stick-on weights so I don't have them around the outside of the wheels?
I'm going to look around tomorrow, I usually go to this place right down the street because the guy is old school, honest, and cheap, but I think he might have a hard time doing the 17" for some reason and then try to bang weights on the outside of my wheels. Also, half the time I go there he tells me to show up on a certain day, then pushes me back like 2 days because jobs get backed up. lol
