| I want to thank everyone who pitched in to buy Brad's car. It means the world to me to have so many good friends. I can only hope I can return the kindness in some way. But with that said, I am very sorry to say my wife and I have talked, and have decided to sell the ss instead of rebuilding it. We had a long talk and we both agree we do not want to spend a third year getting a car ready for the fall roundup like we have done the past two years. I should have figured this out before everyone ponied up the cash to buy Brad's car. But I did not. I was to busy thinking about the conversion and dealing with personal issues to think what was best for us. Then our daughter got her license and now needs a car. We started looking at cars for what she had saved up, and everything was just junk in that price range. So what we came up with is we would first see if Brad's old car is worth fixing. If it just needs a few things, and could be made a safe reliable car, we would pay eveyone back who pitched in, if it is not worth fixing, then we would part it out to those of you who pitched in, and part out the remainder to the rest to pay back everyone. Either way I think since we have decided not to use the car the way it was intended, everyone should get their money back. And for the record, I am not leaving the B-body game after the SS. Hell I am just getting started. But we plan on attending events this year in a running car. We want more drive time and less repair time. This also means I will be available to help people out at mod days Which I love to do. I hope everyone understands. Bill

| I've driven the car to heck and back and it only left me stranded a couple of times. One was the thermostat, the other was the fuel pump. Both of which I knew were going and I drove it anyway so I don't blame the car at all. Both were then replaced and never had an issue since. You look into the things I listed and I'd trust that car to get me anywhere at any time. My cars may not always be very pretty but they are cheap to own and as trustworthy as possibe. I wouldn't sell a car as a runner unless I trusted it to run. I even made it to Mark's place in Maine and Doug's place on the moon without nothing but gas for it and drinks for me Just make sure you get the front end straightened out before giving it to someone as a daily driver. I know that car well and it was starting to have some issues driving at highway speeds. | |

| I'd be interested in helping with the front end. Free alignment! I think I finally got the hang of it. I still have a lot of work to do for this year's inspections but maybe less than last year 'cause two of them are lost causes. Then again I've been stuck working weekends (sometimes across the country!). I'd also be interested in buying it for #2 son or myself if you decide to sell.

| Needs tie-rods, possibly ball joints, shocks, front pads/rotors/bearings. Then the rest is more maintenance type stuff and body work. The engine and trans are worn but they've been worn since I bought the car and are only very slowly getting worse. I'd say stay on top of oil and tune-ups and it'll last a few more years with no problem.
The big issues are a clunk in the front corner when the wheel is cut all the way, and the car wanders a fair bit at highway speeds. There's just alot of play in the front end. Nothing that couldn't be done in an afternoon with the right parts and tools. I actually have been sitting on the parts for a couple years now and just never made time to do the work. | |

| I'm cool with you keeping the car and fixing it for Felicia, too. It'll still be helping you out, and that's all I wanted to do in the first place. | |

| Thanks guys. I only mentioned it because I was not using it the way it was intended. But I guess in the end it still helps us out. |

Thanks for asking Ron. And good to see your still hanging with us. How are you doing Ron? How is June? I hope all is well. As for the car, It is going to be my daughter's daily driver. She needs a car, and this worked out perfect for her and us. Besides we feel better knowing she is in a solid car like this if she is ever in an accident. As soon as I have a good weekend, it will get brakes, and shocks, and an oil change. But the pressure line to the ps blew in my driveway, and needs to be replaced also. I have cleaned it up a bit to locate some of the oil leaks, and have found more than a few, but I will take care of the top side for now with intake and valve cover gaskets. |

| More than a few? If I'd know you were going to nitpick I'd have drawn you a map to all of em. I did mention the major ones though I'm just screwin with you I sold the car cheap figuring it would either go to someone as a beater car and they wouldn't care, or to someone who was going to use it as the base for a project and they would pull the motor anyway. Now that I know it's going to a teenage girl I figure it'll be a beater no matter how it was when you got it | |
