Hey guys, I'm replacing the rear main seal in the B4U, and I was thinking, would this be a good time to mount up a new oil pump? And what type? tia.

Are you planning to pull the engine? If you are this would be a great time to replace the oil pump and all gaskets and seals. If you are just looking to replace the rear main seal then you only need remove the transmission. If this is the rout you take, you will not be able to remove the oil pump, as the engine has to be removed or at least lifted high enough to get the pan off.

Thanks Billy. I've never tackled a rear main before so I'll just leave the OP alone. I am installing the lv III trans back into the B4U as other plans failed with the replacement dd. Pan gasket is leaking and so is rear main seal. My Brother has a lift at his shop so it should make the job a lot easier.
