what a PITA Empty
PostSubject: what a PITA   what a PITA EmptyThu Feb 25, 2010 9:02 am

Well after getting the trans am in the garage to look it over, started the teardown, man what a PITA compaired to anything else, i've never bled so much with gloves on. took an hour to get the headers unbolted, no room to work at all, thats after removing all the nose rad and all that crap.
Got down to the last of it last night at 12. Tonight i'm going to lower the front member onto blocking and unbolt it so i can remove the engine and tranny as a whole. No way i'm yanking that hog out through the top.

I'm excited to do the T56 swap, but what a job getting it out of the trans am

I guess you didn't get the memo. Your supposed to just cut the wrapper off of the trans. No point in unwrapping it so nicely since it's just a fancy old shipping crate anyway Wink
