My Grandmother Me'Me' from Texas used to visit us every year up until 1974 and got a big kick out of him, I can still hear her laughing now. This is his last broadcast several years ago.

I remember "Marty of the Mountain". When we first moved to NH in 1984, Cable TV was in its infancy. We only received two channels: channel 3 from Burlington VT and channel 8 from Maine. So there wasn't much on TV and I can't forget Marty. I don't remember if he was on all year long or just the winter. Ole Marty must have been awful lonely if he was there all year long. Now remember he would not have had Cable or the Net. He was definitely an old Mainer of days gone bye.

I probably watched him for 10 or 15 years but forgot about til now. I just ordered his book on ebay for when there is a slow night on the forum.
