| Most of you know that I am going to be in the market for a lift this spring, but I wanted to get it out there in case one jumps out for a great deal.
My father is looking to purchase a tire changer/balancer as well, he is tired of paying $50 per car, twice a year to swap tires on 4 cars, figures a decent used setup could pay it's self off in a couple years...Plus I would use it to boot...
Let me know what you guys hear of through the grapevine. I always have my eyes pealed on CL, but am looking for more of an "inside" deal...

| How about some specs on exactly what your looking for. I know some people. but don't know what a good deal would be. | |

| I don't know anything about the tire changers, no clue what is a good deal on those, still researching that....
As far as the lift goes I am looking for a 7000 lbs or more 2 post lift. I am not picky to a brand or anything like that, but spending limit is $1200, and not in a huge hurry, so lower is nice too...then again I don't need it to fall on me either... just curious what's out there that people might know about.
There is a local guy with a 9K pounder, but it has been stored outside under a tarp for at least a year and I don't really like my odds with that.

| I got my 9000 for 500bucks when the local dealership closed. Works good. You can buy a new one pretty reasonable. Cheap in this case is not really a good idea IMHO. You have a 4000pound car over your head, I don't compromise. Mine was used, but had just been completely serviced. Had to use a backhoe to stand it back up, i got it all aligned, mounted to the floor, works great. I'm alittle afraid to put my truck on it higher and 3 feet or so. | |

| Ya that was pure luck, I got a 22,000 pound drive on for 600, we left it at the garage because we bought the dealership building when it went out of business, that thing is awesome! | |

| It was a cop I had for a detail in one of the towns I work in. I don't remember his name and I think I just threw his email address away a couple weeks ago! I'll see if I have it in my address book in Outlook.
EDIT: Found it! I just emailed him. But it was way back in September when he was selling it. Don't get your hopes up. | |
