Air cleaner replace suggestions

Id like to get rid of the ugly big black plastic air cleaner crap on my 94 roadmaster,,any suggestions on what i should swap to? have a K&N on my truck,, but not sure if thats how i should go with the roadie

I was in the process of a home made raiss setup when I discovered I didn't have any motivation and quit . Basically you can do the sewer pipe setup, the raiss, the ssri, or any combination of the above. Your only limited by your imagination, and finances, and motivation, and other stuff too

If you want to finish the work you can take my setup for the cost of materials ($50)

2 45* 3" PVC bends
scrap piece 3" pvc to join the 45's
pvc glue
3" to 3" rubber coupler from Home Dee
cheap 3.5" cone filter

Less than 40 bucks, if ya do it right. Cheapest way to delete home plate and first base.

Yeah, I'll be Fusion'ing those this spring. Will probably paint the sewer pipe and SLHAI black, too.

I used the fusion on my tanks and it didn't hold up well. Less than a year later and it was starting to peal off. It was the second time I tried the stuff and had the exact same result. Next time I'll stick with some regular old fashioned spray paint.

Also before paint make sure to sand the washer tank down. I didn't realize it's got a record texture until the paint hit it and made all the little grooves jump right out.

All I got is the filter and the silicon boat along with the clamps and sheet metal. Basically I tried to do a cheap but functional and attractive setup.

I sanded down the inside of the boot to make sure it was a smooth but snug fit on the maf, and I also cut a notch in it to lock into the little tab on the back of the maf. The filter got trimmed to allow for a nice smooth fit on the maf. I was making an aluminum bracket to support the maf by bolting it to the throttle body plate when I lost my motivation and stopped. I still need to finish the bracket, drill out the holes for the iac and opti-vent, then extend the maf wires. It was going to end up a warm air setup since it wasn't shielded from the radiator, but I was going to go back later, once I knew it was durable, and add a filter cover over the bottom to keep the hot air out.

I was planning on finishing it up this week so I'll get pics when it's done. It'll give me something to do while I'm trapped inside watching the snow. If you like it I can shoot you the part numbers that I have and you can make one or I can sell you mine if the cars new owner doesn't want it.

I've had EXCELLENT results with the fusion. I painted my tanks on the Impala a year and a half ago, and have leaned on the,, smacked them with hammers (damn frozen level sensors!) and bumped them with tools and they still look like the day I painted them. All I did for prep was a good washing with Dawn.

The Marshmallow SLHAI is holding up well too.

Must be. I followed the directions and everything. I can't win when I actually try. The things I didn't mean to get paint on are holding up quite well though
