^^yes, I knew that, but lets keep this 100% positive & move on

All we really need to know is...
Are Brad & Bill planning to relocate the car now?
Does Bill have a place to park it this early?
We already heard him say no efin way he's working in 20 degree weather
Once thats decided this thread is history Sleep

We were at $500.00 on just the first page in stated amounts, without even including Jr's contribution.

I appreciate the gesture, but that was a bit much for anyone to donate, and I don't think anyone should be asked to ante up that kind of cake. Any amount he contributes will be fine.

This was intended to be like Little League sports where everyone gets to play some, not just those who have the best chance at a scholarship.

It appears that there were a few more implied offers on that page, and now it looks like even more members have stepped up to donate as well.

And we are still stuck at $500.00?

This is becoming unfair to the seller if we make him wait much longer.

Can everyone that has previously promised follow through and at least donate something?

If so we should be able to get there quite easily.

Thank you to everyone that has participated so far, and to Brad for his patience.

Thanks Jay

You are correct, $200 is too much for one person who works two jobs. We are awful close to the goal, just need that little extra push.

Thanks Brad for being patient! It will get done, I know.

I recieved from Ron and Tom both today and appreciate it greatly. As for my end I'm not stressing over the last few dollars straggling in. I have far more important things on my mind right at the moment. Billy's getting the car by the end of February regardless of the money or if he's ready for it. I'm not going to put a nice new Mass inspection sticker on a car I don't own that's parked in NH Laughing

By the way we're at $625 and there may be another $25 coming in in the next little while so I'll say we're at $650 which is enough to consider the car Billy's. I'll just be hoping that the rest of the money catches up to me at some point or that I get some Karma points out of this. Karma seems to work fairly well for me so things will work out.

I'd get the car up there sooner but I'm using it to move stuff at the moment so I don't really have a choice at the moment but to make Billy wait. I'm glad he's so patient with things.

Are you kidding Brad?
Please take all the time you need. Keep it til spring if you like. I would not even have it if not for the kindness of others, so take your time with it.
I will be starting a thread with some corny title. Like "two bees are better than one" or "Mod days! Not just for rebuilding old cars" Or my favorite "As the water pump turns" Razz

Sorry I'm late to the party, truth is I don't get on here everyday like I used to. I sold my Roadmaster to the old man to take over - I'm officially out of the b body game for a while, maybe for good. Anyway my wallet isn't bigger than my heart, I could still do $200 but I see it's not quite needed. If anything else is needed for the car, let me know and I can do more than what's owed. I would give any one of you my entire week's paycheck even if it means I have to live without for a week, and that's the truth.

Hi Ron

Glad to see your still around the site, but sorry that you sold your car. Maybe you'll get a wagon someday.

Billy said he just wants the body and frame and I'm milking that for all it's worth. The brakes are shot, the suspension is barely holding together, it's overdo for an oil change, the wipers are only partially working, and last night a headlight blew. I'm delivering this car to Billy well used Twisted Evil

In reality though it'll get to him in the next couple weeks. Hopefully my living situation will be dealt with by the 1st and I'll have a replacement car as early as this weekend. Then he's going to get this car so that I can transfer the plates and everything over to the new ride.

If things go according to plan I'll be picking up the replacement either Sunday or Monday. Then Billy can have his car probably the weekend after. So like I said, he'll get it in February. But as we all know nothing is definite until it happens so there may be an updated plan between now and then.
