PostSubject: Bench to bucket mod   Bench to bucket mod EmptySun May 24, 2009 7:22 am

I helped the Iceman cut his bench down to make way for his 6-speed conversion. He purchased a passenger side seat cover to do this mod, and it worked perfectly. The hard part of the day was getting the little rings off and on that held the cover to the cushin.

Getting started

Cutting and grinding welds.

Welding up wire tabs to match the other side out of the leftover portion I cut off.

Both sides now are the same and ready for the bucket seat cover

Back in the car and done.

Looks good! Smile

Looks like you spent a good deal more time on it than I did. But the end result was definately worth it! Nice job!

Thanks guys. I guess I got Skillz. Cool

The arm rest is going to be reinstalled on a new custom made center console, that I will hopefully be building, after the coversion is finished. I may be taking a chapter out of the Uniquekind hand book to build a full length console with wood on top and either carpet, or leather sides.

Looks like Billy found a new job. And he can work under the table to gain the lovely tax break Wink
So do you have business hours or is it by appointment only? How far in advance do we need to schedule an appointment because guys like Foose have a waiting list years long.
