| Well thanks for the complements guys. I got a lot of help to get this done in a short amount of time. This car was, and is a combination of parts and ideas. Thanks for all the help guys. Ok, the build: I had been stockpiling all the necessary parts for about a year. 91 tails, SS hood, Used DGGM grill, SS decklid w/stk. spoiler, RR door (to replace my really creased one), SS wheels, exhaust, SS front bumper (regular one would have worked too, my was just damaged) The car was lowered & had the SS wheels on in the spring, but all the body stuff did'nt start until about two weeks ago. We started by swapping the decklid, hood, grill, RR door & front cover. I stripped off the Caprice side moldings (and the miles of double sided tape ) & wheel well moldings. Fast foward to last Tuesday. We pulled the car into my garage 6:30 at night, pulled the wheels, headlights, corners, and tails. Got out the little grinder, & headed for the big dents & rust hole in LR quarter. I think the bodywork came out WAY better than I thought it would. Bill C. was on one side of the car while I worked on the other (no time to waste). Wednesday, (I think. After not getting more than a few hours sleep some of these nights to days blurred together). Chris M., Bill C. & I degreased, scuffed, finished the bodywork, & fished masking. I mixed the quart of Flat black & was spraying it around midnight! Painted the SS wheels (Did'nt get home till real late that night). Thursday, Bill M. , stopped by during the day, (to fix my bodywork ), mask the second color, and sprayed a quart of the Gloss gray (which came out awesome BTW). Thurs night we pulled of the paper & tape, I remounted tires on the SS wheels. Somewhere along the way Chris painted the engine-compartment. I painted the inner wheel-wells, frame, & misc undercar stuff Friday, Bill C. striped the car, and I (against serious opposition) decided to repaint the roof, trunk, and tops of rear quarters, because I was'nt at all happy with my orginal crappy job. So.....more masking, misc sanding, prep work. Jim helped with the tape work. (Second times the charm.) We reinstall all the lights & wheels (Finish about 1 am) Sat morn, steel wooled the glass, reinstalled the wipers (forgot we has taken those off) & headed out for the roundup. | |

| I spent the whole day wondering who's car that was. Laura asked and I said I'm not sure since I haven't seen it before. Guess I was very out of the loop | |
